Welcome to my new blog, here you will be able to keep up to date with my campaign to make a difference in Radcliffe West. In my first few weeks of campaigning I have met so many different and interesting people. What has pleased me is how people have welcomed someone who is just like them standing for the council. I think people have become cynical of career politicians they are looking for a “real” person to make a positive difference to where we live.

There are many key issues which have been raised by the people I have met and I hope to look at them in more detail here. They want to see our town centre and the canal cleaned up. People have told me they have welcomed the launch of Litterwatch. What is raised most often is Gordon Brown and how he’s let people down. People were told boom and bust had ended. Yet now we are facing one of the deepest recessions in the world. The people of Radcliffe think it’s time for change.
